A  'One Day Intensive'  is the tool for crisis management
when you need to record a minute by minute picture of the
situation.

A One Day Intensive is for tracking a crisis or emergency
situation when a minute by minute log is needed.

These menu selections are particularly useful for the newly
diagnosed IBS patient to determine a good medication
regime.

To keep your physician appraised during those critical first
few days, after you finish a One Day Intensive (ODI) make
an  'EXPORT'  folder from the  'Transfer Data'  menu
selection,  zip it up and email it to your physician for
immediate viewing on his/her  'IBS Analysis  for
Professionals'. Or even better, make use of Level
Heathware's  'Internet Data Storage'  feature... allowing
your physician to  continuously monitor your condition.
You may also both view your current data at the same time,
on your respective computers, and confer on the phone as
you view.

...if you are newly diagnosed with IBS, or are making a major medication or diet change, or your symptoms for some
inexplicable reason are suddenly going extreme and staying there, or you suffer a severe attack, or for some other
reason......your physician may instruct you to write down everything you do for a 24 hour period...even all the little
details...to try to zero in on what is happening. This is known as a 'One Day Intensive', and IBS Analysis permits you
to record your One Day Intensives on the computer as they happen, for later viewing, and to have a permanent
record. The period of the intensive is up to 24 hours, then you may start a new one. The Symptom Severity Level data
of Intensives also feeds into all the other graphs and tables and the Log of the Intensive becomes a Dairy Dot.
After a series of One Day Intensives to stabilize the
situation, the  'Line Graph with Events and Numerics'
under  'Symptom Severity Levels'  menu selection may be
used to maintain level readings.

When a One Day Intensive (ODI) is finished, its Symptom
Severity Level entries also become visible on all graphs
and tables, and its Log appears as a black colored dot on
Dairy Dot lines.

For exploratory and learning purposes you may  'Start'  a
One Day Intensive at any time, make a few entries,
'Continue'  it later, then  'Cancel'  it with no data being kept.
